I’m such a slacker.

It’s been months since my last post and I blame that on college. Now that it’s finally summer I have enough time to start recording my fitness (and baking) adventures again! My diet has been pretty terrible lately, so I’m working on cleaning that up. It doesn’t help that when I get bored I bake. Today I’m baking white chocolate chip cookies and hoping to go work out in the next few hours. Yesterday I went to my first zumba class in over two years and I definitely missed how much fun those classes are. I might go for a studio cycle class today and then maybe a leg work-out. I’m up to about 270-290 pounds on the leg press and 290-310 on the calf press depending on how good of a day it is. Progress!

10 mile bike ride this morning!

I went up along a canal for a 10 mile bike ride this morning, although at the end of the bike I was somehow stung by four bees at the same time through my shirt. I have no idea how that happened. I’m not allergic to bees, but the stings still hurt like a bitch. 

Now I’m going to go start all of the homework I haven’t done yet. :(

Finished a 13.1 mile bike ride with my mom.

I’m getting used to my new road bike (which is absolutely beautiful) and loosening up the new brakes we put on it. I also put on the new saddle, which was extremely comfortable. I’ll probably do a short leg routine later, but for now I’m going to make a sandwich and relax a little bit. :)

Woke up early!

Headed to the gym with my parents around 8am. Went to an 8:30am spinning class that lasted an hour and a half and felt great afterwards. The rest of the day is going to include a lot of water, a delicious butternut squash macaroni and cheese for dinner, and maybe giving our dog a bath.

Since it’s spring break I don’t have access to a gym. :(

But the good news is that this weekend is an open house for the gym my parents go to so that’s where I headed today! I ended up cycling for 30 minutes and then doing some ab work. Tomorrow is arm day and I’ll be going with my parents in the morning - first for an hour long spin class and then to lift. 

Tonight we’re having spicy chicken tacos for dinner! It smells delicious in the house. :) I also sliced up some strawberries for dessert later. I love being home from college - all this delicious food that I wouldn’t normally have in my dorm room.

I have an ugly blister

from running in my crappy shoes yesterday. :( But I went to the gym today anyways for arm day! That consisted of:

• Bench Press (1set x 10reps - 55lbs, 2x5 - 65lbs, 1x3 - 75lbs)
• Pull ups 
• Push ups
• Dumbell Row
• Shoulder Press
• Plank Row
• Burpees
• Single Deadlift Reverse Fly
• Lunges with bicep curls
Then I went and cycled for about 30 minutes. Now I’m eating an orange and chugging water and about to start The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender. I also started to read Which Comes First, Cardio or Weights by Alex Hutchinson, but I’m taking my time going through that.
